LOS ANGELES, CA (July 5-8, 2018) - Anime Expo, better known as AX to all those long-term committed fans, has always been the place to find out the latest and greatest in anime and manga. This year however it seems that more and more gaming companies wanted to try their hand at the West Coast's largest anime convention. One of these gaming companies was KLab Inc., who brings widely popular mobile downloadable games such as Love Live! School Idol Festival, Utano☆PrinceSama Shining Live, and Bleach -Brave Souls-. This booth in particular brought tons of different styles of interactive activities in which fans new and old of all backgrounds could enjoy. A Love Live Stamp Rally was present; in which attendees were tasked to visit certain locations at the convention to collect Aquors Sub-Unit stamps. A life-size version of their newest rhythm game Utano☆PrinceSama Shining Live, the male counterpart to Love Live! School Idol Festival, which features Live 2-D animation, was also present. Attendees were able to play on a touch-screen television screen, and encouraged fans to put their whole effort in playing popular songs by STARISH or QUARTET NIGHT.

Bleach -Brave Souls- had gachapon machines, a vending machine which dispenses capsule toys, for real life RNG (random number game) chances to win amazing prizes like t-shirts and clear files of popular anime series. Let’s not forget the amazing standee cutouts they had present for people to take photos with which included characters from Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War. This was incredible because KLab Inc. was the first to have content of the arc for Bleach in the States! You could take photos with the characters Renji, Ichigo, and a beautiful Rukia in her final bankai form. Finally, we have a completely special VR experience which was specifically made for shows like Anime Expo for their amazing football mobile game, Captain Tsubasa: Dream Team. In this simulation you play the goalie, and attempt to thwart your opponent's special moves. This VR simulation not only incorporated amazingly drawn characters straight from the manga, but also has fully interactive sounds that make you feel like you are part of the action on the field. It was definitely an experience worth trying, and the prizes weren't half bad as well. The prizes included original merchandise like t-shirts, cleaning clothes, and team stickers.
Overall KLab Games seems to have the market on some of the most popular and enticing mobile games that are enjoyable for all ages, with genres ranging from rhythm to sports. We managed to interview someone on the KLab team at Anime Expo and he assured us that everyone in their particular gaming development teams love what they are working on, and are always continuing to keep fans on their toes by bringing forth the best content they can. We can expect to see wonderful things from them in the future with the games they had mention to be released in Japan first in the next coming years.
